Archipelago Hawaii in the Community – Roseann Freitas and NKBA

Roseann Freitas presents to NKBA Northern CA

We love seeing our team members share their expertise with others, both in Hawaii and around the country! On Thursday, February 18 our Vice President Roseann Freitas flew to Santa Clara, California to present to members of the Northern California Chapter of National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA).

Her topic, “What is Net Profit and How Do I Make it?” is a topic that resonates with our entire team at Archipelago Hawaii, and Roseann did a wonderful job of enlightening chapter members on the business side of design, and how to turn passion into profit. Roseann left her listeners with a few key takeaways:

  • As the owner of a business, a designer is a businessperson first and designer second.
  • 10% of what we do is the glamour side of design, while 90% of the job is making things happen.
  • Keys to success:
    1. Track your time
    2. Learn your client’s budget
    3. Charge appropriately to stay in business

Thank you for sharing your passion with us, Roseann!

Roseann Fretias has also been named Vice President of Programs of NKBA Aloha Chapter.
